Sustainable and climate-resilient management of high-Andean ecosystems

GIUZ scientists won an international bid for a new project at the intersection of climate change, ecosystems and biodiversity in the Tropical Andes, opening important opportunities for a dialogue and action with policy makers and other stakeholders.

Sustainable and climate-resilient management of high-Andean ecosystems

The project is a collaborative effort between the EClim research group and the Earth System Science unit at GIUZ, with the link to the URPP Global Change and Biodiversity. "We are excited to have the opportunity to bring in our combined expertise", says Christian Huggel, head of EClim research group. "This opens up important opportunities for a dialogue and action with policy and practical adaptation work on the ground."
