GIVA@Open Doors
At the Open Day at GIUZ on May 21, 2026 the GIVA group conducted two laboratory tours: "Virtual Space: How to Find Your Way in a Virtual City" and "Cave Automatic Virtual Environment: How We Measure Emotions and Spatial Decisions"
Cave Automatic Virtual Environment: How we measure emotions and spatial decisions
Our virtual environment lab was demonstrated using a driving simulator in combination with heart rate variability measurements to investigate emotional responses (e.g., stress) during driving, navigation, and spatial decision-making. The application of these technologies in empirical research was illustrated through user studies and experiments.

Virtual Space: How to find your way in a virtual city
A virtual reality application in research was demonstrated using a head-mounted display. A gamified user study was designed to investigate navigation in geographical space and spatial learning of environments.
