DSI Excellence Program for PhD students
Congratulations to Sergio Bazzurri who has been accepted into the very competitive UZH Digital Society Initiative (DSI) Excellence Program for PhD students!
This innovative academic training in addition to a student’s PhD program in their home discipline is aimed at PhD candidates at the University of Zurich with the goal of forming a new generation of scientists able to think about digitalization at an academic level across disciplinary boundaries. It allows students to acquire central competencies such as critical reflection on digitalization in a collegial and creative atmosphere. The program also fosters the ability to change perspectives and engages participants in interdisciplinary flexibility by fostering problem-oriented conceptual work, research communication and respective publication that is appropriate for the target audience. Sergio will be engaged in a PhD project on climate change uncertainty visualization and communication leveraging the immersiveness of virtual reality environments.
