GIVA@Cartography M.Sc. Alumni Meeting - Munich, Germany

The 15th anniversary of the International Master of Science in Cartography was celebrated on October 10 in Munich. The event brought together 150 participants, including alumni and students across 15 intakes, and the staff of the International Master of Science in Cartography. Cartography M.Sc. is a four-semester Master of Science Programme of four universities: Technical University of Munich (TUM), Vienna University of Technology (TUW), Dresden University of Technology (TUD), and University of Twente (UT). It focuses on a broad education in cartography and geoinformatics.

Armand Kapaj from GIVA, an alumnus of the 6th intake, also attended the anniversary celebration and participated in a panel discussion titled "Perspectives on Cartography," which featured diverse opinions from academia, industry, and the public sector. The panel was moderated by Jakob Listabarth (PhD student at TUD) and included alumni from various intakes, such as Anna Vetter (Co-Head of the GIS Department, Canton of Zurich), Samantha Levi (Cartographer at Green Solutions GmbH), Luka Laval (Image processing engineer at UMR Marbec), and Prof. Emeritus Menno-Jan Kraak (previous local director of the programme at UT).
