08.01.2024New publication: Research-based collaboration: A toolkit for teaching and learning

As part of the project “KoLab: Kollaborative Lehrforschung in der Stadt”, Ifigeneia Dimitrakou, Hanna Hilbrandt, and Julie Ren have developed a toolkit to address the challenges of integrating collaborative research formats and partnerships with non-university actors into university teaching practice.

The toolkit supports social science educators in integrating collaborative research into university curricula through research-based projects. It provides practical guidance, resources, and examples covering key areas such as the planning and financing of these collaborations, the didactics of fostering collaborative relations between educators, learners, and non-university partners, and the practicalities of collaborative research. Additionally, it offers considerations about the evaluation of such projects.

The project “KoLab: Kollaborative Lehrforschung in der Stadt” was funded by the 2022 open_innovation Teaching Fund of the University of Zurich, supporting initiatives for teaching innovations in the UZH curriculum.
