SURB Representation at the Swiss Habitat Conference

Swiss Habitat Conference

The 12 and 13 of February, the first edition of the Swiss Habitat Conference jointly organised by EPFL and UNIL took place in Lausanne. The conference is envisioned as a space for discussing and exchanging research on housing and habitation in and/or about Switzerland, and to bring together social scientists, geographers, architects and planners.

Nouri Abdelgadir and Ismene Ehrler presented their papers developed within the Responsible City project. Nouri focussed on crisis narratives, migration, and the (de)politicization of housing. Ismene presented a legal-geographic reading of property as the ‘right to destroy’.
