Home-Debt Nexus presentation at Money and Gender Conference
On December 12, 2025, Hanna Hilbrandt and Jess Linz presented early findings in a presentation at the online symposium, Money and Gender, organized by James Brown, Kate Maclean, and Naomi Segal at University of London. This conference convened participants from across the humanities and social sciences to discuss the complex relationship between money and gender. Hanna and Jess’s presentation focused on observations from Zumpango about the emotional tenor of people’s relationships to debt and hinted at a pervasive anxiety that the team is following up on in ongoing fieldwork.
