On 29 October 2019, Sarah Mallet visited us from Oxford University to talk about her research project on the Calais Jungle at La Lande, which has been exhibited at the Pitt Rivers Museum until November 2019.
As an archaeologist, Sarah Mallet has developed new approaches to contemporary impermanent spaces, using the principles of archaeological methodology to understand and record the lives of undocumented people in the present.
