Activity Report 2022

In 2022, the GIUZ Sustainability Task Force has completed the following activities:


Presentation of the Sustainability Task Force and its activities at the staff meetings (Mitarbeitendenversammlung, MAV) in May and November 2022
Participation in the MNF Sustainability Committee through Annina Michel and Maria J. Santos and in the UZH Sustainability Commission through Magdalena Seebauer.

Air miles

Collection of air miles through secretariats for 2021
Student project for automated airmiles calculation at GIUZ in 2022
Third GIUZ Air Miles Report published in 2022

Discussion of first GIUZ Airmiles reduction strategy at InVers in March 2022
Collecting ideas from research groups for reduction measures
Workshop Fly less?! in December 2022 to collect ideas for airmiles reduction. Imagine we are in the year 2030 ... (GIUZ Blog, 30.01.2023)

Department life

Establishing and maintaining the Organic Food Hub at Irchel Campus in collaboration with a local agricooperative. This project ist supported by the MNF Sustainability Committee’s Make Irchel More Sustainable grant
