Philipp Striedl is a Postdoc in the Department of Geography, University of Zurich (UZH), Switzerland.
Philipp worked on his PhD thesis in General Linguistics, Graduate School Language & Literature Munich (Class of Language), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Title thesis: Representations of Variation in Modern Hebrew in Israel: Cognitive Processes of Social and Linguistic Categorization).
Research interest
Currently working on “Language as a Window into Conceptualisations of Landscape: A Cross-Linguistic Perspective”.
Interested in Processes of Categorization, Cognitive Linguistics, Sociology of Knowledge, Variationist Linguistics, Ethnographic Fieldwork and Grounded Theory Methodology, Linguistic Typology (in general and Semitic languages in particular), Israel/Middle East/North Africa Studies.
