variety of species in a mountain lake or pond. Since the ponds volume can be very low, organisms must be able to adapt fast to
changing environmental conditions.

- Ponds Tambo demonstrate, that even small ecosystems may influence alpine economy.
- Ponds Confin are shoal. Water entries by rain change the water composition very quickly and the organisms must react accordingly.
