The Central Rocky Mts. of Colorado and the Rocky Mts. Front Range have much in common with the Alps, including a typical holarctic flora.

3 - Sedum lanceolatum (Crassulaceae) on Niwot Ridge, end of season (3500 m).

4 - Thlaspi sp. (Brassicacea), end of season (Niwot Ridge, 3500 m).

6 - Lush low alpine meadows.
