Background

The creation of this website serves as certificate of achievement for the course GEO454: Geovisualisation at the master’s degree studies in geography at the University of Zurich for the spring semester 2022. The framework for this project is defined as follows:

Each of the project groups has to create a website. The website should account for numerous concepts on design. The decisions to certain choices for visualisation have to be thought through thoroughly and justifiable. The content of the website has to be dedicated to a research question which is to be answered by GIS based analysis of a phenomenon. That phenomenon has to be embedded in the wider context of one of the 17 sustainable development goals set by the United Nations (UN).
