Mina is a visiting researcher at the University of Zurich. She is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in geospatial information systems (GIS) at K. N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU).

Her research primarily revolves around extracting meaningful insights from GIS, focusing on semantic and geographic spaces. This research interest extends to place, geocomputation, geospatial data science, social media analysis, information retrieval, spatial cognition, psychology, and human-place interaction. Mina's commitment to innovation in the field is evident in her continuous engagement with web technologies and their applications within GIScience.
