As we can see, it is very difficult to make a statement about the extent to which the quality of education is related to economic growth using purely visual methods.
Although we can observe economic growth in the global South, this is seldom accompanied by a higher percentage of investment in the bidding sector. Rather, economic growth correlates with an increased proportion of people with a tertiary degree.
Education spending does not indicate whether the money goes to primary, secondary or tertiary education. This could be an explanation for the phenomena mentioned before. This would also support the thesis of Chatterji (1998) that tertiary education has the greatest impact on economic growth.
