18.09.2020Conference Presentation at the RAI-RGS conference

The Royal Anthropological Institute and Royal Geographical Society conference “Anthropology & Geography: Dialogues Past, Present & Future” was held online from 14-18 September 2020. With co-author Adam Kaasa from the Royal College of Art, Julie Ren presented a paper on “Emotional Biennial” at the session organised by Harry Pettit and Alex Vasudevan about the “Politics of Emotion.” The presentation brought together the authors’ research about the fraught nature of these festivals in Sharjah, Venice, Dakar and Taipei.municipal reform.
