Hydrologic Connectivity in a Boreal Landscape

The Krycklan catchment is located in Norther Sweden, about 100 km North-West from Umeå, Västerbotten region. The catchment is located in the boreal landscape and the land cover consists mostly of forest, mires and lakes. Experimental forests for forestry research were established already about 100 years ago in the Krycklan area. In the 1980s the Svartberget field station was built for research focused on forest hydrology and biogeochemistry processes in the boreal region.
