Mountain Hydrology

mountain hydrology

Mountains play an important role in the water cycle, and they pose specific, often increased challenges to measuring and understanding hydrological processes. The mountain hydrology research group addresses these challenges with a focus on water resources and floods, and explores the impacts of climate and global change in mountain areas. Its research spans from catchment to global scale and bears in mind interactions between mountain areas and the surrounding lowlands.
