Language Courses

Language skills are key in an effective scientific education, and even more importantly, in integration in a multi-national workplace. The graduate school will make available funds to support new doctoral students in German or other languages relevant to their studies.

Scientific Integrity

The pressures of the modern scientific world make discussions of what scientific integrity is, and how we can develop ethical ways of carrying out our science and interacting with the public and the users of science all the more important.

GIUZ Lectures

In alternate years Human, Physical and Methodological Geography will invite leading scholars to provide a public lecture and an in-house seminar with doctoral students. Doctoral students external to GIUZ may be admitted to the in-house seminar on a competitive basis.
