Remote Sensing of Water Systems
Welcome to the Remote Sensing of Water Systems (RSWS) group, a joint professorship between the University of Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, Eawag.
Our group focuses on advancing the use of remote sensing to better understand water systems. We combine multi-sensor technologies, such as imaging spectroscopy, SAR, LiDAR, and passive microwave, with process modelling to address current environmental questions. To use the full potential of remote sensing for water systems research, we develop sensor systems and drive methodological innovation to improve the reliable use of remote sensing data.
