Here you will find a non-professional listing of common words in Greek and Turkish. The two languages are not related in linguistic terms. Turkish is an Altaic language where Greek is Indo-European. But there's a long common history and so a lot of infuliance in cultural, social and lingual terms. One of the results is having a large common vocabulary. In this version we have 481 common words, but it is said that there were ~5000 words. (According to Iraklis Milas, reference from Ta Nea, article (in greek)) .
