Abstract

The concepts and methods for efficient processing of imaging spectrometry data and spectral data files require scientific evaluation and efficient prototype development. The SpectroLab supports the development of such processing and storage modules in a broad variety:

  • Data calibration and archivation processing chain for the APEX instrument
  • Geocoding of airborne scanner data
  • Atmospheric correction of airborne and spaceborne imaging spectrometry data
  • Simulation of at-sensor data for evaluation of future instruments
  • MySQL database for the storage of the spectral data and pre-processing information (SpectraProc)

Results

The data processing research mainly results in publication of new methods and their implementation in software products. Some of these products meanwhile are widely used for application in imaging spectroscopy (e.g. PARGE and MODO). An overview of such software is given in the SpectroLab-Products Section.
