Research interests
I mainly work on integral risk management of natural hazards. Currently I focus on ongoing and future changes in high-mountain areas. As such I am particularly interested in:
- Glacier retreat and forming of new lakes
- Natural hazards and possible interactions between processes
- Impacts of hazard process chains on settlements
- Changes in land use
At the moment my main regions of interest are the:
- Swiss Alps
- Peruvian Andes
