My research activities focus on monitoring and modeling strategies for the investigation of mountain permafrost.
Main interests:
- Permafrost in steep alpine bedrock
- Slope instabilities related to permafrost occurrence
- Modeling permafrost in mountain topography (energy balance, 3-dimensional heat transfer)
- Permafrost monitoring in Switzerland
