Research interests
My research interest is the investigation of mountain permafrost and its sensitivity to climate change by using non-invasive geophysical monitoring methods. I am interested in the development of appropriate monitoring approaches for the requirements in high-alpine terrain, and in the relation of measured geophysical properties to the subsurface ice and water content as one of the most important parameters for the evaluation of the state and evolution of mountain permafrost.
