Chemical preparation of Beryllium Oxide (BeO) from rock and soil samples

 

The ¹⁰Be/⁹Be ratios are measured at the ETH Zurich Tandem Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) facility using ETH AMS standard S555 (¹⁰Be/⁹Be = 95.5 x 10^-12 nominal) with a¹⁰Be half-life of 1.51 Ma.
